Solar & Battery Installation – Penarth
This project involved a 10-panel GSE in-roof solar installation on a recently completed dormer loft conversion in Penarth. The client wanted to maximise the available roof space while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic that blended seamlessly with the new roof structure.
We installed 10 × 440W all-black solar panels, fully integrated using the GSE in-roof system. This not only improves the visual finish compared to on-roof systems, but also removes the need for additional mounting rails and bird protection, keeping the installation neat and low-profile.

Alongside the solar PV system, we installed a Tesla Powerwall battery system with Tesla Gateway, giving the client full control over their energy usage. The system allows excess solar energy generated during the day to be stored and used in the evening, significantly reducing reliance on the grid.
he Tesla Gateway provides intelligent energy management, automatically switching between solar, battery, and grid supply. It also offers backup capability, meaning the property can maintain power during outages, a key benefit for a modern, high-spec home.
The result is a high-performance, visually seamless solar and battery system that complements the new loft conversion while delivering long-term energy savings, increased independence from the grid, and future-ready energy management.
